in safari (iOS): desktop-versions of numbers on iPad not scrollable

On IOS-Device:

The previews of numbers documents on iCloud.com are not editable - so far so good …

But when I change to the desktop-version, the spreadsheet is editable but not scrollable - IS THIS "NORMAL BEHAVIOR?

Any hints really appreciated!
