Is there an issue with iPhone/iPad contacts and calendars no longer syncing info? After the most recent iOS 9.2.1 software update, Messages and Phone contacts are no longer linked to texts sent or calls made/voicemail received on my iPhone 5 ... only numbers remain and if trying to send a new message, i need to key in the entire number or email address - the + is no longer visible. All events saved on calendar app has disappeared since 2/6/2016 (yet a reminder notification will pop up close to the event/appointment).

All my iPhone 5, 5s, 6, 6s and 6s Plus do not have any issue with iOS 9.2.1.

Check your iPhone's

Settings > iCloud > Contacts and Calendars ON?

Check also your cell provider if Caller ID is provision properly.

You can go via Contacts app to message your recipients.

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > under Calendars > Sync > use All Events
