iPhone 4, without Appleid

I have a friend who have bought a iPhone 5s - she has a iPhone 4 at this moment.

She have had this iPhone 4 for many years and have a lot of pictures and contacts on this.

The problem is that when she was married she and her now ex-husband has an id togehter, so when they divorced she didn't wanted to use that id as she didn't want the ex to see her pictures or contacts.

The problem is now that she hasn't been able to transfer her pic + contact to itunes via computer and now he iPhone 4 is shutting down and do not want to start again. When she plugs it to the computer nothing happens.

She tried to update apps, then they became inactive or without contens. Then she tried to update the phone, software update, and then it died.

She has created a new apple id, all she wants is all the pictures and then contacts if possible.

What can she do?

Nothing, content are forever locked to the Apple ID used.

Content cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

Hold the power button and the home button at the same time for about 10 seconds to do a power cycle of the device. Then try to plug it into iTunes again to import the photos. Your photos are not locked to the Apple ID. If you can get your photos onto your computer then you can get those photos back onto another phone. The contacts are different. You can turn iCloud off on the phone in settings by signing out of it and it'll ask you if you want to keep or delete your contacts from the phone. When you create a new Apple ID and then sign into it on the iCloud on the phone it will start to update the contacts to the new iCloud.

But she doesn't have an Apple Id on the phone now, because she thought that she only were able to use the one she has with her ex.

Perhaps if the phone can be restarted (she has tried the power button and home button thing) she maybe can log in with her new created Apple ID and save the pic + contacts on the new ID? Is that possible?

I think the most important thing is the pictures, so hopefully she can get them on the computer.

But in the past she hasn't been able to connect via computer to itunes as nothing has happend when she has pluged in the iPhone to the computer.

She can create a new Apple ID with a new e-mail address

https://appleid.apple.com

She will have to delete those apps that was downloaded with the share Apple ID with her Ex, because app are tied to the Apple ID used to obtain them

If she like the apps then she will have to download them again using her own Apple ID.
