Can I set iTunes to automatically offer SD (instead of HD)?

I purchase season passes for television series on iTunes in SD. But when a new episode is uploaded, I have to manually adjust the recent releases by series to SD, as the default ifor everything is set to HD. It adds steps to the download process which should be avoidable by opting for an SD default for downloads.
