How to reset account permissions in El Capitan

HI, I changed my MacBook hardrive and save some data from a external HD. Now I don't have permission to my files, it seems like they're protected. Does anybody knows how can I reset files permissions using El Capitan ? thanks

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

Go to Finder and select the drive and right click and select Get Info. Look under Sharing and Permission section and change as necessary. You have to click on the padlock at bottom and enter Admin PW to make changes.

You may have to go individual files and folders too.
