My MacBook Air display is too dark, even at the highest setting on the slide bar. Is there anyway to increase the high end of the range?

Hello Deprose,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that your MacBook Air display is too dark. This could be that the display isn't adjusting correctly. I would suggest resetting the NVRAM and the SMC on your MacBook. Both of these settings affect the backlight on the display.
