When composing an email ,how do you zoom in without changing font size? CMD + only works on received emails not on emails you are composing. So for example, you want to compose the email in font size 12 but you want to be able to easily read it on your computer screen. When reading an email you can do command + and it will increase the size making it easier to read but when composing, you cannot do that so you have to look at tiny font.

I understand that you would like to zoom in while composing a new email, but have not found a solution yet. One option that I think would be helpful to you is using Zoom after it is enabled in Accessibility.
To enable zoom, please follow the instructions in the article below.
To open this pane, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, then click Zoom.
Once enabled, you can use the following key command, Option-Command-Equal Sign, to zoom into the the new email window in Mail.
Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom
Use the listed shortcuts to zoom in and out. For example, to zoom in, press Option-Command-Equal Sign.

I know you mentioned in your first post that you didn't want to change the font size. If the Accessibility Zoom feature does not work for your situation, you may want to consider changing the font size while you are composing the email to something larger. Once the email has been composed, you can select all of the text and change it back to the normal 12 point font before sending.
Message font
The font and font size for writing and viewing messages. Click Select to use a different font.
If the sender used a specific font for a message, that font is used when viewing the message.

Thanks joe_7399 that was useful. Is there way though of doing it so that the windows don't become massive. Like when you do command + in an email that you received where the text appears to become bigger and reformats to the size of the window?
