How to play songs in order on iPhone?

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I'm sure we can help you out with your question, but I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you are asking. There are several different ways to order or reorder song playback in the Music app, depending on what exactly you are playing (an album, a particular artist, a playlist, etc). For some of these options, you may find the following section from the User Guide helpful:

This does not tell me anything. The songs are added to the playlist in a certain order, and also listed correctly in that order. Nonetheless, I cannot figure out how to make it play the songs in this pre-established order. The order seems to be random, in spite my not having pushed the "Mix" button.
