Question

I have an iMac OS X 10.7.5 and I can't launch Finder to find my files. When I click it the word "Finder" appears at the top of the screen, but there are no files- just the screensaver. This just started happening a couple days ago. Any Suggestions?

When the word "Finder" appears at the top of the screen, it indicates that the Finder IS running.

I think that you do not have any Finder windows open and your are seeing the desktop.

After you see the word "Finder, go to the File menu and select "New Finder Window".
