MacBook Air suddenly will not pair with Bluetooth

I have a MacBook Air that I have used with my Sony Bluetooth speaker with no problems until today. I cannot get the two to pair.

The speaker works fine, I can pair it with other devices so it's definitely a computer issue.

I opened the Bluetooth Preferences to rescan/repair the connection, first deleting the speaker from the list to do a whole new connect, now the computer scans and scans (the pairing light on the speaker blinking and sitting next to the computer), but the speaker never re-appears on the list.

I've tried resetting PRAM an NVRAM, but that didn't fix it. Any other suggestions?

Thanks.
