What is a "Power Mac CGI"?
Since you say you have OSX 10.7.5 that mean y have an Intel processor and all Power Macs have a Power PC processor.
Assuming you have an early Mac Pro. The 2006/2007 can only go as high as 10.7.5).
- Disconnect all peripherals
Remove an internal sleds and cards except for graphics card and HD sled with boot drive
- Reset the SMC
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
- Try startup. Can y hear the fans?
- Open side cover and look for any lit diagnostic lights
- Check the voltage on the coin batter on the logic board.
I meant PCI graphics.
Thanks for your help. Talking to friends it seems it might be the battery so I'll try that first.
