My MacBook Air is stuck on resume when trying to download El Capitan. How do I uninstall a partial download?

Look in your Applications folder for a file named "Install OS X El Capitan".

If you find such a file, send it to the trash.

You don't have to. It gets automatically deleted if it is only partially downloaded.
