iMessage photos not opening (El Capitan)

Whenever I send a picture via my iPhone or receive a photo from someone over iMessage I'm not able to view it on my macbook. I'm currently running El Capitan. This is what I get... Please help.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
