Iohone 5c screen black, home button makes it turn blue, I tried to hold the lock and home button down and no apple shows up

My screen went black for no reason, when I plug it into the charger it does the noise over and over. I tried to hold the lock and home button down at the same time for at leats a minute and no apple showed up. Can anyone help?

What is the history of the device?.. Has it been repaired before? Did you drop it? water damaged? What was the battery percentage before it went black, was it low? Check charging port to see if any debris or dirt, clean with out with toothpick and rubbing alcohol.
