how do i separate vocals from the music in a trac in logic pro x?
iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
IF they're in the same track I don't think there's any software that can do that.

Can you suggest what steps to identify with colors when playing the trac so i can differentiate what to select and keep between the vocal sound thats different from the music?
