MT2S Locking up FCPX 10.2.2

Hi all,

I edit video for a professional music ensemble. We recently hired a crew, and when he handed me the footage it's all MT2S. Every time I go to import a file, FCPX stops responding. I've resigned myself to converting all the files to MP4 using Handbrake. Has anyone had this issue?

That's ridiculous. No crew should give you the raw mpeg files. That's why productions have DTIs because they shouled know what they're doing in your workflow. If you're going to use a new crew make sure you're absolutely clear what they have to deliver and how they have to deliver it. Delivering bare files like that is bs and really irresponsible.
