Since upgrading to iOS 9.2.1, some Notes have disappeared

ON a previous upgrade of the iOS, Notes were spit into 2grouos. I don't know why, but didn't worry about it as the missing notes appeared in search.

that no longer happens. Less than half the notes I have created are listed,mane search will not find the missing notes.

this is of great concern,maps I have Ben keeping a,monthly diary of progress in a probate problem, and now nothing is available before November 2015. I have not so far found out which other,notes,are,missing, but the list is,very short.

i Checked that I had notes set in iCloud.mthere I discovered that News has been checked to save. I have never set this, as I never look at news. I thought,that I had set Numbers to save, but that choice does not now exist. What's going on?
