Audio on timeline disabled

I have several audio clips on one timeline. A few clips in one particular part of the sequence are all of a sudden greyed out and don't play. I can't figure out why. They played fine earlier and I don't see anything different about them from the other audio clips on either side of them. They belong to different Video clips and the video clips play fine. Help?
