Hi! I've got error when upgraded to El Capitan, postfix service is not working.
In /var/log/mail.log I've got the following:
postfix/master[83616]: fatal: unable to determine open file limit
Can anybody help me?

Are you running OS X Server? If not, how did you activate Postfix?
No, I'm not running OS X Server. As far as I know postfix is a part of system. It's located in /usr/sbin/postfix. It's protected folder in El Capitan.
Postfix is included in OS X, but it doesn't do anything unless you change its configuration. Have you done that?
No, I didn't. Do you have any idea what it can be?
I can't event stop the service respawning every time.
launchctl unload org.postfix.newaliases
launchctl unload org.postfix.master
sudo postfix stop
These commands don't work.
What functional problem do you have, if any? Log messages are not a problem in themselves.
I have the same problem. postfix logs in /var/logs/mail.log saying "fatal: unable to determine open file limit".
This appears to be because postfix calls getrlimit in a way that it incompatible with the El Capitan kernel
or system library API, perhaps involving comparison with RLIM_INFINITY?

Has something similar happened with El Capitan? Why did Apple ship this without testing it?
