Polyfill for HTML technology

Hi,

We're in a coding session and have been forced to use a polyfiller for Safari simple due to lack of support for HTML5 technologies.

We've ended up implementing http://webcomponents.org

This was primarily for the custom elements functionality - see the matrix on that site for more info on support.

The experience is that Safari takes a significantly longer amount of time to render layouts due to the need for polyfiller, which is basically bad.

My question is, does anyone know the roadmap for Safari with regard to implementing the missing HTML5 technologies?

We can see the biggest losers from a web-experience point of view are iOS users, as all browsers on iOS are forced to use the Safari webkit rendering engine.

Thanks and greetings.
