Q: iPad mini 4 wont connect to public wifi

Hi

 

I bought a new iPad mini 4 at Christmas (ios 9.1). There is public wifi near my work that I use every now and again. My old iPad and current phone both connect with no problems. My new iPad says it's connected but I cant access anything (games, Facebook, email etc.) via the internet. Safari says I'm not connected. Is there anything I can do?

 

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

    Take a look at this Apple Support article:

    Reset your network settings.


    Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings


    Reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

    • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
    • Press and hold on the Home button
    • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.


    Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings
