Feb 12, 2016 10:56 AM in response to salalah7by norm123,Hey salalah7,
I Understand that you are wanting to know more about the storage capacity of your iPhone. I found an article that can clear that up for you. The basics is that the you are comparing binary and decimal. So a in decimal, you are looking at 1,000,000,000 bytes to make a gigabyte but in binary that same gigabyte is calculated at 1,073,741,824 bytes. When you add that up, you will end up around 28 gigabytes.
How OS X and iOS report storage capacity

Feb 12, 2016 10:43 PM in response to salalah7by ManSinha,iTunes is backed up to the local disk - depending on whether it is a PC or Mac you are using - you can google and find the location of the iTunes files
In other words - if you move to a new laptop and do not transfer your files - they will not be available
Of course any music you have on your phone will stay but you won't be able to update the songs etc
