Does using restrictions in Apple TV restrict content in apps like Hulu?

WWill setting content restrictions on Aaple TV (3rd Gen) also control content in apps, or apps that do not provide content control (Hulu, Netflix, crackle, etc)?

That is the Apple TV 4 manual. Regardless the restrictions features control access to content that is rated in the iTunes Store. They cannot be applied to content steamed by a third party service.
