FCPX & iMovie Mediathek

Hi I do have several TB raw material in my iMovie mediathek and would like to make some projects under FCPX. As such wonder whether the raw materials would be dublicated in FCPX or whether they would be left in die iMovie database and only the project would be stored in FCPX?

Tx for any advice how to managed that best.
