My iphone 5 says I have headphones plugged in but I do not and I have no sound

your iPhone is stuck in headset mode

it's a hardware issue with the headset detector inside the 3.5mm minijack headset connector in the phone the link have various ways people have been able to fix it.
If you cant find the settings within GENERAL tab , you might want to try powering it on then off, complete a soft reset.
I Am having same issue. Is there any way to solve it. I have tried restrating phone multiple times.

I did take the phone to the Apple store over the weekend and they say it can't be repaired as it has the dreaded red dot in the sim card slot! The seller told me it worked perfectly when she used it! Gonna try BigDalla's suggestion before I send it back as I have tried all the other suggestions but thought his was pretty funny and will be even funnier if it works! Thanks!
