Q: El capitan have problem with AppleID

Hello,

about couple of weeks ago, I can not sign into Apple ID from my iMac(mid2011) anymore. The password is fine(works on iphone)..

Everything worked on 10.11.1, but when I upgraded to 2 and then later to 3, there was problem.

Anyway I have tried many ways to fix it, but always failed.

Lastly I freshly installed el capitan(10.11.), but It seems that I still can not login? I can not login to AppStore, itunes, anywhere where appleID is required...

What can I do? Thanks in advance

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

without knowing what the "many ways" you tried are because you don't specify start here:

    https://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid#!&section=password

if you've done this and there is no change you will need to contact Apple.

I have a similar issue.  Can't login to facetime, iTunes, I messenger anything with the appleid. Changed password and no go. Can sign in fine to the Apple ID website but any other tie it just stays as verifying forever. Not sure what to try next. This is on a iPad mini with most recent software update.

I try to login to AppStore in safe boot(did not work), I clear NAND memory and even freshly install entire OS. The password is 1000% fine.

If the password was "1000%" fine it would work. So you're saying it works? If not try my suggestions or don't, I know the reinstall of the OS won't make a difference if there is a corruption somewhere on Apples side where your ID resides, it's not a local only asset.

No it would not, because the password is not the problem. It works on iphone and also system does not say "password is incorrect" or anything like that. The system simply cannot verify it. Many users have that the same problem on el capitan, and all seems to solve it at least with new install of OS.

Please launch the Console application in any one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages

from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

              View ▹ Show Log List

from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take an action that isn't working the way you expect. Select any lines that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.

Some private information, such as your name or email address, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

When you post the log extract, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "The message contains invalid characters." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the text on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please don't select Private from the Paste Exposure menu on the page, because then no one but you will be able to see it.

is the PW being verified locally on the system or is it being authenticated by Apple or both?

Are you using two step verification?

Frequently asked questions about two-step verification for Apple ID - Apple Support

when you reinstalled 10.11 did you create the account and tie it to your ID and if so did it allow you to log in with the ID credentials? If so your computer recognizes the ID but a service from Apple does not.

there is a terminal fix that requires destroying the account info but not having used it I can not validate it's overall scope and I will not post a potentially disastrous cause of action here. you will need to web search. If you proceed with this Back up your computer with Time Machine before performing this action.
