New tabs do not have any page titles on them

When I open up a new tab on Safari, either a brand new or opening a link in a new tab, it is no longer titled. For example, if I have several tabs open in 1 window, I can only see the title for the original tab. All other tabs are blank up top, so I cannot see which tab goes to which page unless I click on it to check. How do I fix this?
