How convert an EDI file format to numbers ?

Hi

My company has received an .edi file format which has 12,000 invoices within it.

I would like to extract the data from the invoices to a CSV file format and am wondering if anyone knows how to do this and any software that can be used to do on a mac?

I googled EDI format and it seems there is also a defined specification that provides a "decoder ring " for the file. Do you have both?
