iphone 6s battery life

Hey there. Just upgraded form 5s (iOS 8.3) to 6s (iOS 9.2). As many users I have the battery drain issue.

I deactivated background app refresh, limited location services and push emails, used brightness at around 50%. Still getting the impression that it drains faster than it should drain.

I read that it may be corrupt data from my previous phone (I restored via iTunes) and setting the phone up as new and then restoring from iCloud should solve the problem.

What do you guys think ? Looking forward to your answers. Thanks.

Hi SisTemE,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with your new iPhone; I know how frustrating that can be. Based on your description, I think restoring to factory default settings would be a valid troubleshooting step. If you test it for a while in that default condition without restoring your data/settings from your backup, that should give you a good idea if the issue is with the data/settings, or with the device itself. Thanks for getting back to me .

I've been testing my phone since I posted here. Today for instance I got 13h 15 min standby and 5h 45 min usage, with brightness at around 35-50%, wi-fi and cellular data always on, and low power mode since it reached 27%. The battery percentage still goes down in a weird way, but I successfully got through the day (it's 00:05 in my country). I'll keep testing. Worst case scenario I'll return it to the store and get a new one (got a 30 day return policy at this store).

What do you think? Is it a reasonable usage/stanby time for a 6s?
