Q: Syntax error line 43 of swupd.conf

I'm getting repeated error messages in swupdate's error log:

Syntax error on line 243 of /Library/Server/Software Update/Config/swupd.conf:

Invalid address or port

Here is line 243 of that file:

Listen *:0

Anyone see what's wrong? This error didn't appear until I reset the swupdate service by removing the catalogs and downloads and restarting the service.

Thanks!

    Aha Frank!

Now for the next step. On the SUS page. Select the Updates pane at the top. Deselect 'Automatic download New Updates'

Click on any update or group of updates that you don't want. Next click on the gear below and it will open options to delete, disable etc.

Success, or not? If you expand to see the column on the right, you will be able to individually address  the various updates.

    Viel Erfolg!

    Hi everybody,

now the Updateserver ist working properly but now i have my old problem.

When i deactivate Updates we don't need - a few hours later they are reactivated :-(

And all updates i deleted are also reactivated....

Does anybody have an idea about this issue ?

You could try creating an Alias, but I didn't have much luck with this when I tried the same thing.  In the end I just changed my "service data" location which relocates all the server stuff.
