Error 4BAT/1/40000000:0x898f6590 on MacBook Air 5,2

Hey,

I have a problem with my MacBook Air 11 Mid-2012.

It crashes immediately when I unplug the power cable.

I ran the Apple Hardware Test and it found error 4BAT/1/40000000:0x898f6590

Since I haven't found anything on Google I thought this is the place to go.

By the way, system information looks okay except for telling me to exchange the battery.

We don't know much more than Google other than the error is about your battery. Your battery information clearly shows that the condition of the battery is to replace it now. I suggest you make an appointment at the Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar and take it in for service. If you are not in the USA or cannot set up an appointment this way, then contact your local Apple Store directly.
