iTunes has stopped working in car

I can no longer play my iTunes in the car from my iPhone 6+ I am connecting using an Apple USB cable (have used different ones so I know its not the cable) I get about 2mins of a song then it cuts off and I can't play any songs at all. I have to switch my phone off then on as it freezes before I can use it. This has just started happening since I updated with IOS 9.2.1. Anyone know how I can fix this?
