Q: Live tracks on phone substituted with studio versions

Okay, I'm freaking out right now. I downloaded a ton of live albums (maybe 200 of them) to the phone from the new Apple Music-enabled iTunes session, an iTunes catalog that I've been building for 15+ years. Every time there's a song from the concert recording that also exists as a studio version from that same artist, the song that then plays is the studio version. I'm now thinking that maybe the iTunes song has been substituted, as well. Is that possible? I'm going to speed home tonight to see if the core iTunes songs were changed. If they are, I'm screwed. Carbonite probably backed up the most recent instance of those songs... the substituted studio version.

Apple was just spared my ire. The core iTunes files on my PC are unchanged. Apple Music for Android is (I guess for the benefit of saving space) subbing in the studio versions that already exist on the SD card for the live versions that are linked to the live album.

(Again, are there any Apple techs monitoring these posts? Some good ideas and bugs are being posted here, but I'm not sure anyone is listening.)

Just saw that this is a long-standing issue (Aug 2015) over on the iTunes/Mac forum without a fix. No response over there from Apple that they're working on it. Too bad. Apple Music had a chance, but this issue will prevent a lot of people from using their service. Back to Spotify, I guess.
