Mistake in Uninstalling MegaBackup

After I downloaded a new version of flash from pop-up window, MegaBackup was installed on my computer. Now, it opens up every time I start my computer. I tried deleting it by clicking to show it in Finder, then moving it to Trash from Finder. However, it did not remove it. Now, it doesn't show up in Finder since I deleted that icon. Since I am clueless about uninstalling software, please give detailed directions on how to remove this from my MacBook. Thanks.

MacBook, OS 10.10.3

I have an iMac, and removed it by going into Finder, then Applications, and finding the MegaBackup icon. I clicked on the icon to open up the program and then used Force Quit. From there, I dragged the icon into Trash and deleted it.
