stolen iphone Help

I've got my iPhone 6S stolen last week, I followed all suggestions from apple, and contacted my country police department. I checked constantly for any news, but today I couldn't access my account. I had to change my password again, and when I checked Find My iPhone, my iPhone was deleted from my devices, and the activation lock was off !!!!. I mean, I though this thing was secure!. I fear for my information on iCloud, if anyone is able to hack into my account. I was supposed to receive a message when my iPhone was online but didn't got anything. Also, no message when my iCloud password was changed.

Please I need help from an apple rep or something, because I wasn't expecting something like this. I though iCloud was something secure.

Why did you believe you had to change your password? If you responded to an email or text message indicating you had to do so, you probably fell for a phishing attempt and gave the thief the credentials for your iCloud account, which allowed them to remove the activation lock.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case because I didn't followed any link to access icloud. It was from my workstation(strict firewall), and through icloud.com

What was from your workstation? WHY did you believe you had to change your password?

I changed my password from my workstation. I had to change my password because I couldnt log in with my account. I called to apple support and they managed to send me the Find My iPhone location email(apparently they also got into my email account and deleted the emails.), and managed to get the last location.
