CIFs Share mounting in El Capitan

Experiencing issues with mounting a CIFs Share using 10.11.x OSX version

No dialog or error attempting is reported after the selection of the IP address in the "Connect to" dialog

Been using this workflow for several years (OSX 10.6.x through 10.10.x) without issues .

Has anyone seen any issues wit this.
