(in Apple Pages) Word count is zero!!
I just wrote a document with about 60 words but the word count shows ZERO?
Is this a bug, or if not, what should I do?

Did you select just a portion of the text?
Yes.
Then it is going to count just what you selected.
If you open the document without selecting anything *but having the Show Word Count open, it should show all the words in your document.
I selected a paragraph with about 60 words but the word-count box at bottom left always shows zero.
Same if I don't select any sub-part of the document 00 word-count is always zero.
Must be a bug??
Pages version 5.6.1
I started a new document and the word-count box worked correctly.
So I then did a copy-and-paste from the buggy Pages document into the new doc and it worked perfectly (91 words).
It was the first time I was using Pages (as I had got fed up with persistent bugs in Microsoft Word-for-Mac that are never going to be fixed),
I had used a table to have two authors & addresses side-by-side at the top of the document. At first I didn't notice the word count box but when I discovered it, it always read zero.
But since the new doc is OK I'm going to ignore the bug behavior of Pages in the original document.
Thanks for suggestions.
