Any unsolicited offers of help with your computers are scams. You should avoid that at all costs.
I thought so. I did call the number and the so called tech was very rude. Said the computer which is 1.5 months old did not come with the protection required and I must purchase a plan. When I asked why he hung up.
Will what do you know an impolite scammer. I guess you really should be thankful because his impoliteness saved your bacon.
When I told him I was going to make an appointment at the Genius Bar his response "I am the Genius why do you want to do that"
That's when I knew something was wrong. He also keep trying to get me to use some sort of download that would allow remote control. I have talked to an Apple Tech once before and he never asked to do this.
