Logic Pro X upgrade

I wanted to ask in case i buy this product and there is a completely new version for example Logic Pro XI do we get to upgrade to the newer version for free or we need to pay extra for the update.In other words is it a ,,lifetime" purchase?Thanks.

If you purchased say..... Logic X a year ago, all incremental upgrades are free 10.01, 10.03, 10.1.0, 10.1.3 would all be free. However, when a new version comes out, as you posted, Logic XI, there will another charge of $200, all incremental updates to XI will be free. No one really knows Apple's policy regarding a purchase of Logic X close to the time Logic XI is released, Apple never announces release dates, or, if there's any leeway at all.

if you own Logic Pro X all updates are free and appear in your regular Mac App Store updates. You will only be required to pay when Logic completely overhauls Logic to version XI. Historically that only happens every 3-4 years as incremental updates resolve most urgent issues and of course new features are added. It's incredible value and easier to learn than say Abelton Live
