I have forgotten my password to get into my I-pad and have tried so many times that it says to connect to iTunes.

Thank you Sberman, I have tried everything it said except calling them, It said to hold the start and sleep screen at the same time but when you do it comes up with the picture of the cord and the iTunes and it said wait until it says recover but it never comes up.
I understand.
Sometimes it takes several attempts to get the recovery started correctly. I suggest being patient and trying several more times.
Am I doing this right; I hold the button on the front and then the button on the top at the same time? The ITunes symbol comes up and looks like a plug but I keep on holding and it does nothing.
If you are following the "Erase your device with recovery mode" steps, then you are doing it correctly.
