Declining Credit Cards

I have seen this issue occur several times in the past, but i haven't seen anything recently. The iTunes store is rejecting my debit card, but there is nothing wrong with it and there are plenty of funds on it. Is anyone else having this issue? Could this be the authorization system and not something with my card/account?

It might be because it's a debit card, and not a credit card (not all debit cards will work). The card is registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing) as on your iTunes account ? And was issued by a bank in your country (and which is therefore the country on your iTunes account) ? Have you checked with the card issuer in case they are declining it for use with iTunes ? Or do you have a different card, preferably a credit card, that you could try ?
