Hi guys, i had issues after updating my iphone 5s (16GB) to iOS 9.2.1 and i decided to do a factory reset on it. It has failed to activate with an error message 'YOUR IPHONE COULD NOT BE ACTIVATED BECAUSE THE ACTIVATION SERVER IS TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE'
Any suggestion as to what i can do to rectify.

Is there a SIM in it? Was it ever hacked or jailbroken? It must be able to connect either to WiFi or cellular data to complete the activation.
If it continues to fail, restore iOS using iTunes and try again. Try a different SIM.
If all else fails, make an appointment at the genius bar and have it checked.

Thanks alot. The phone was neither hacked or jailbroken. Also it was the same sim i've been using in it before the issue is still what i used and i also tried the activation on wifi and iTunes on my laptop (CAN'T CONTINUE ACTIVATION AT THE MOMENT). I'll try the suggested steps and see where it leads. Thanks again.
