Are iCloud Photos on Mac memory?
I am closing syncing my photos with iCloud because my old iPad doesn't have enough memory. How can I make sure all my photos are on my iMac?

Is your Mac syncing with iCloud Photo Library?
The photos will be on your mac, if the "Photos Preferences > iCloud" are set to "download originals to this Mac" and if the status message is "Updated".
If you are seeing a scrollbar, the photos will still be syncing with iCloud and you should wait with signing out.
