Buying an App from iTunes

So I'm wanting to buy an app from iTunes, but I currently don't have any credit card information linked to my account. The option of payment is set to 'None'. If I put my credit card information in and buy the app, can I change the option back to 'None' immediately or do I have to wait a certain time frame? Any help/information would be greatly appreciated.
