What troubleshooting steps have you performed?
If you did not power cycle your entire network, now would be good time to do this. Instructions for a Network Power Cycle are just below.
Power off all devices......computers, Time Capsule, accessories, mobile devices.....in any order that you want.
Wait a minute
Power up the modem only, and let it run 2-3 minutes
Power up the next device connected to the modem, and let it run a full minute
Keep powering up devices one at a time, about a minute apart until the entire network is back up
Check the network

I will try the steps listed above and report back.
I turned everything off as instructed, but did not turn off my router. I am currently connected to the Time Capsule network.
After trying this twice, still does not work. I followed your instructions exactly, yet I still receive an error message that my Backup Disk Not Available.
Are you running the El Capitan operating system on your Mac? There are a lot of issues about this over in the El Cap forum....but unfortunately no solid solutions yet.
Yes, and I have been since the update. However, my TC was running fine over the last 6 weeks with no issues. The only change I made, which is probably unrelated, is that I added a Guest Network capability. Once I did that, my TC stopped backing up.
Bugs in El Cap can creep to the surface at any time.
I don't have a proven, known solution for you, but do have a suggestion that would involve deleting the com.apple.TimeMachine.plist preference file and then setting up Time Machine again, in case the file has become corrupted.
There are no guarantees that this will solve the issue, but it will not hurt either.
Post back if you want to try this.
