WHen I click on my Contacts on the home page, it tries to open, but then immediately returns to the home screen. The contact info is there when I use email, but I can't access them to edit content. i have tried rebooting, syncing with iTunes...nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

How do I reset?
A reset is called a force restart in this support document. Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If that does not help, there is a restore from backup, Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support
and a restore to factory. Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
