When I try to load windows 10 on my computer, after the spinning wheel stops, i am left with a black screen and occasionally the cursor. I was wondering if anyone has a solution as i am very reluctant to reset/restore my windows partition as it was working just fine before the next time I turned the computer on and other forums seem to lean towards a display issue. Thank you for any help

You have a bad driver from the W10 WU. Do you have a Windows System Restore point from prior to the bad update?
No. Sorry I don't have one
Can you boot Windows in Safe Mode?
No...it does the same thing
What year is your MBP? Do you have the original Windows Installer? If you used a USB-Installer, do you still have it?
You can see if the following steps bring up recovery.
1. Connect your Installer Media.
2. In OSX System Preferences -> Startup Disk, select your Bootcamp partition (not the Windows Installer). Unlock the Preferences, if necessary.
3. Click Restart.
4. Check if the Installer starts. If it does select Repair.

Are you able to Repair Windows and boot normally?
About 3% into the repair process It showed an error message saying that it could not be completed. After that it rebooted by its self and suddenly started to work. It's very odd but it works now
