Apple TVs and BlueTooth

I work in a school district. Nearly all of our teachers use Apple TVs in their classrooms. While these have been a nice addition for the most part, we still see users frequently having issues with choppy airplay due to the large taxing of our network capacity. I have heard rumors that Apple has recently given Apple TVs the ability to airplay using bluetooth instead of wifi. Is this true? If so, what models of Apple TVs can do this? And is specific computer hardware needed to perform this function?? This could help us out immensely.
