I am working on a large spreadsheet that will have to be printed in multiple sheets.
How do I instruct the spreadsheet to arrange the cells from left to right, i.e., by row rather than from top to bottom, i.e., by column?

You can try this (perhaps in a copy of your spreadsheet, in case this isn't what you're looking for). Click in the table with the data and in the menu choose Table > Transpose Rows and Columns.
