SN225Feb 11, 2016 3:04 PM

Hi ,

Below are my Mac details

MacBook Pro (retina, 13-Inch, Mid 2014), OS X EL Captian Version10.11 15A284)

I installed windows7 through Boot Camp successfully and was working but as the disk space became less though of extending it. Saw a video in youtube which said to use disk utility to extend the partition. After making the partition I am unable boot into Windows it says Non System Disk Press any key to reboot.

Can you please help me.

I tried these and here is the information:

I followed the solution but I failed at You should have two entries. One type EE, one 07, with the 07 entry marked with * under Boot. If you don't, report back. If you do, write out the update partition information, and hope a power failure doesn't occur for the next few seconds...

Hi Loner T,

Yes I am on El Captian

Thank you so much for the reply. I removed partition and trying to install new Windows 7 through boot camp but I am getting No Bootabe disk message. I think the USB i am using is compatible for USB2.0 and USB 3.0 but when I search in the System Report I see it under USB 3.0 Bus and I donot see HIgh speed or Super speed.

How to figure out if it is considering the USB as 3.0 and is there any way to make it as USB2.0.

Thanks
SN

Are you entering your password, or do you get any errors with the dd command?

Here is an example from a working Mac, where there is no 'Extra' partition.

sudo dd if=/dev/rdisk0s4 count=1 2>/dev/null | hexdump -C

To all -

Here is one unbelievably simple answer to this F******* problem. I have only seen posted once but the install immediately worked after I did this

You can't have the Driver thumb drive and the Wininstall drive plugged in at the same time!!!!!

This problem has been driving me crazy. I tried just about every posted solution but as soon as I pulled out the Driver thumb drive, the mac booted into

windows. Maybe this was obvious to everyone but sure wasn't to me. I haven't found this in any official publication.

I am posting this in hopes that it will help some else from pounding their head on the desk from sheer frustration.
